I don’t know if you have ever honestly contemplated martyrdom as a reality. I attempt the thought every now and again and most of the time quickly scurry away to things more comfortable, like minesweeper and speed scrabble. If you’ve read my biography, you know I was planning a trip to India this summer. The trip just got cancelled because our main contact over there is up against martyrdom in a big way.

His name is MA Thomas and there is a $30,000 bounty out on him.  The Hindu militants want to do everything they can to destroy MA Thomas and the Lord's work.  MA Thomas’ vision is to raise up 1,000,000 orphans by 2020.  He goes to the hurting and fatherless.  The radicals were threatening to cut off water and power for the hospital and orphan's.  The bank accounts to feed the thousands of orphans have been cut off, death threats come through daily and many pastors and staff are beaten. 

They are on the brink of destruction, within two weeks they will run out of supplies. 

These same militants have burned Thomas in effigy in a number of cities.  The enemy is trying to crush, but we are not destroyed!  (2 Corinthians 4:8)  The Lord will prevail and he is victorious!  He is the great Warrior!!
